If you record a television show…

If you record a television show, do you fast forward through the commercials or watch them?

It depends.  If I am using TiVo, I may fast-forward through commercials but if the television is on as ambience, I really don’t care.  Digital shows, you can’t skip or at least I haven’t figured out how to.  Sports, I will watch the commercials if nothing else is good to watch on television at the moment.
