I have a side IT consulting business with a few regular customers. It’s possible I can reach out to them and ask if they wouldn’t mind spreading the word about my availability. I might not want to be too forward but I think it would be easy to work it into conversation the the next time I am working a project with a client.
Also, I am doing okay financially. I am definitely not where I want to be but definitely in a different place from where I was ten years ago when I dropped out of graduate school. I still have most of the debt but at least I am not living paycheck to paycheck anymore.
